This is a song cycle I'm working on about women in American history. The first song is called "Remember the Ladies" and it is based on the letter Abigail Adams wrote on March 31, 1776 to her husband, John. The show goes on to highlight other famous women including Phillis Wheatley, Betsy Ross, and Hillary Clinton, but it also shines the spotlight on lesser-known heroines. The stories, struggles, triumphs, and messages shared by these ladies are worthy of remembrance.
